The Yorkshire Dales national park is on the doorstep and for the more cosmopolitan, Harrogate has all the shopping and nightlife you could ask for. Local attractions in and around Ripon include Fountains Abbey, Lightwater Valley Theme Park and Ripon Racecourse which has day and evening meetings.

Harrogate is a lovely spa town and boasts a wide range of shops and local attractions such as Harewood House and Ripley Castle.
